ParticipantYou make a great point about how the internet can be distracting and even overwhelming when trying to write. I agree that writing is an art form, and tapping into your own thoughts often leads to more original and meaningful work. At the same time, I think the internet can be a useful tool if used with intention and boundaries. It’s all about finding the right balance between inspiration and distraction. Everyone’s creative process is different, so what works for one person might not work for another.

ParticipantI like the visual of throwing away the junk words! It will help us remember the concept. I find that when I’m in stressful situations, people add so many junk words to the situation. I end up cutting them off and saying something along the lines of, “Just give me the question.” If you want me to solve something, then give me the problem, not the back story.

ParticipantIt can be easy to forget that everyone’s health literacy is different when we start typing notes and planning patient teaching! I hope it becomes second nature for all of us and isn’t somehting we need to “work” at. Keeping things clear and concise makes it so much easier for everyone and the American Nurse Jounral will be a fantastic resource.

ParticipantHi Pumi. That is a great quality to have! I love knowing people who want to share their knowledge with other people. Even better, you make sure the information is factual! I have ended conversations with something along the lines of “I could be wrong though, so don’t quote me” haha.

ParticipantHi Ava, I also love Colleen Hoover, I could not put Verity down! I like that you really went into detail on all the things you can do with narrative writing. It’s so easy to forget all the different things that qualify as narrative writing. Thanks for sharing you’re writing style with us all.

ParticipantHi Marie, my grandmother on my dad’s side immigrated from the Dominican Republic! I don’t speak any Spanish, unfortunately. I wish I knew a second language. It must be so hard learning a third language and now going to school! I have faith in you, we will all make it through this.

ParticipantHello Mel, I also did a college English class, too bad we couldn’t transfer those in! Maybe I can find a good hammock spot this summer, it sounds like a great place to read our textbooks. We will all make it through. I believe in us. My awesome lab partner!
