The LPN general education courses can be taken at any time through LNA Health Career’s online school portal.  Taking these classes ahead of time can help to ease the workload during your clinical semesters.

To get started, register online by choosing the Healthcare Career Courses as your program and then choosing the General Education course you would like to take.

$200 per credit

Please be advised:

  • General Education courses taken online at LNA Health Careers are non-transferable to other colleges/universities at this time.
  • Completing a General Education course through LNA Health Careers does not mean you have been accepted into the LPN program.
  • Once you register and pay for an online General Education Course the content will become immediately available to you, because of this, General Education Courses are non-refundable.

This is a four (4) credit course that will serve as an introduction to human anatomy and physiology from an integrative perspective. Students learn the structure and function of the tissues, the skeletal system, the nervous  system, the endocrine system, and muscle function from the level of the cell to the level of the organism.

The course is a prerequisite for Anatomy and Physiology 2.

This is a four (4) credit course that will serve as an advanced curriculum to human anatomy and physiology from an integrative perspective. This three (3) credit course emphasizes the fundamental language skills of reading, writing, speaking, listening, thinking, viewing and presenting. You will be writing some essays, in which you will learn to use APA format in your writing. This course prepares you for a nursing career and future higher education courses.

This three (3) credit hour course provides students with the basic mathematical skills required for the courses they will take throughout the Practical Nursing program. Topics include fractions, decimals, ratios and metric conversion; students learn how to apply these core math skills to specific nursing situations.

This three (3) credit hour course offers an introduction to the field of psychology. By exploring key figures, diverse theoretical perspectives, and research findings that have shaped some major areas of contemporary psychology.  This course will also examine the research methods used by psychologists across these areas to study the origins and variations in human behavior.

This three (3) credit hour course focuses on human growth and development over the lifespan, and assists the LPN deal with various physical, intellectual, and socioemotional issues. Provides a background in human growth and development from before birth through childhood, adult hood and through the death and dying.
