HI Melanie, I share your opinion. The emergence of specific technologies is both advantageous and disadvantageous for humanity. Our religious or ethical side can lead us to question the human side of a kid born from an artificial womb. Moreover, if we take into account the biological side, can we say they are not truly being human?

Hi Cristina, Thank you for sharing your point of view with us. It’s very relevant that you have emphasized certain traits or genes that some families do not want to lose. In this case, these technologies are beneficial, but others also use them for unhealthy purposes.

Hi, Ava, I share your perspective. I also think that evidence-based practice contributes not only by being up to date with the latest research, but also with the best. Because the latest, in my opinion, does not mean the best. Evidence-based practice focuses on the best to provide all clients, as you said, the best care with the same measures.

Hi Cristina, I like your approach to this. I also considered using PPE as an evidence-based practice to protect both clients and nurses better. Until now, some patients have found it disrespectful or felt ashamed that we use PPE. On this subject, I believe that as nurses, we should continue to educate our clients on the reasons behind the precautions we use.

Hi, Cristina, as you so adtly put it, quantitative quickly makes us think of quantity, something that can be measured or evaluated accurately. At the same time, qualitative refers to quality, opinion, and interpretation. Contrary to a part of your point of view, I would say qualitative research has nothing to do with the quantity of sentences or the length of a text, but rather with the subjectivity that you think about, how you interpret this or that study, etc.

Hi Selva, your story brings back very beautiful memories of my childhood. Thank you for sharing them with us. Growing up with your extended family is very beneficial; it’s not always easy, but we often feel blessed and fulfilled at the end of the day. In my country, we also grew up with our parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, etc. As you rightly said, growing up like this teaches us many values. We learn to live together, support each other, share, interact better with each other, and accept and understand that we are all different.

Hi Cristina, glad to read your story. I enjoyed it because the part where you talk a bout freedom, you had the impression that everyone had more freedom than you, also reminds me of my adolescence. I am the last kid of my parents. My siblings tried to protect me, but I was always at home, had no friends, couldn’t attend parties, etc. However, unlike you, it made me shy initially; I was very withdrawn until I was 19, when I had to face life without wanting to.

Hi Melanie, wow! That was very well said. The internet can be both a very good tool and a curse, too. How you use it is a choice. Everyone has their own preferences and goals. We all see life differently; for some people, the internet is limited to social media, while for others, it is search sites or educational sites.

Hello Cristina, The internet effectively makes everything easier and gives us so many opportunities; we just have to use it well. Like you said, it’s easy to get lost because the distractions are so exposed and accessible. If you don’t give yourself a goal, you can get lost along the way.

Hi Cristina, I share your point of view. By avoiding wordiness in nursing, we can be better understood. It facilitates understanding and makes communication faster and more effective, as you said. Using too many words, especially in nursing communication, becomes tiresome and can also cause many misinterpretations.

Hi Melanie, I agree entirely with you. We must use clear and precise language to properly educate our clients and their families. Patients do not understand medical jargon; educating a patient is a life-or-death situation. A misunderstanding can cause a lot of damage and even death.

Hi Ava, I agree with you that the narrative genre allows you to be really creative. This style of writing requires a lot of details, and I love it. I also find the narrative scheme quite special and easy to follow to produce a good narrative text.

Expository, it’s in my opinion a beautiful writing style that demands objectivity. Me too,I really like to learn and share what I learned. As nurses, we all have an obligation to improve this writing style to better educate and support our patients and their families.

Hi Cristina, I was thinking about that when I saw your last name. Your grandmother could speak Creole too; you never know. Yes, it’s hard for me to learn another language, but I’m trying.

Hi Ava, Oh really! If you want, we can practice French together. There was no culture shock when I came here because the Americans occupied us. Haitians are very familiar with American culture. So, I adapted very quickly; my only obstacle was the language.
