Benjamin Aubut ParticipantKaley, I do believe that most of us have come to the same understanding of why a child walks in a line, if you think about it starting at that young age kinda makes it easier as an adult to stand in line, I can honestly say that even in the military we did the the line thing especially in basic. And yes humanism is a great thing there is nothing looking for the good in everyone I tend to do the same thing, Benjamin Aubut ParticipantDeb I have said it before, I love the way you see the world and that sharing your experiences whether they be good or bad you are an open book, has made this class a better learning experience for me, and honestly the world would be a better place with more DEBS like you. and I can see all the points you have made, YES even about the males Benjamin Aubut ParticipantKim I can agree whole hardheartedly with what you are saying, in the 15 years that I was in the military and out of Maine 31 of our 118 graduating class has overdosed and the remainder has had family members that has, now after returning home and working at the jail I would see 90% of the rest of them come through with either drug charges or DV charges and it seem that the only real free ones are the one that got out. Benjamin Aubut Participantwell I see that there are a few things we have in common, My family also sat down together every night and ate dinner, although we were not religious and did not pray it was our chance to see what was going on in everyone day, we did that even after I was married because we lived with my parents all the way up until I joined the army and moved away and I was also a parent at a young age, and for what is worth I am sorry that you had to go through what you did, because even though I had my parents to help it was still extremely hard,I could not imagine going though it with no real support and still coming out as strong as you did, Amazing there is an army saying that says” success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts”
