I really enjoy how said that walking in a line can show different personality types such as leader and follower and on. I do also think that children crave structure I think that is something that makes them feel better at that age. I do believe that as a the world gets crazier that more people have trauma, which can influence how we interact leading to more aggression. I do think that men can be “trying to show off” and prove they are tougher, I think that comes from a long time of trying to do so.

    Crystal,
I also grew up in a mainly white neighborhood as well and it did impact me alot. I was mexican growing up in a white school, it was hard not to feel alienated. I’m sorry that you had to go through so many struggles in life. I too was taught to love and be kind to everyone despite our differences. Can you imagine what type of world we would live in if everyone was taught that? Can you imagine the different environment for culture?

    Katie,
I can relate a lot to thinking that your independent at a young age. My mom was a line cook and worked long evening hours, I was often left alone. Now I as well like to live a quieter life now. I do think that as much as it was tougher when you’re younger but it was beneficial. It helped me prepare for the world ahead of me. Although I am not a middle child I can empathize with the dynamics of it, as my closest sister nikky is a middle child and she has shared her struggles with me. I think that it’s really cool that your mother was a nurse, I don’t have anyone medical in my family. Did that inspire you to be a nurse?
