Yes, Cindi, I would like to keep working where I am for a while. I would like to keep working with the elderly population. Even though there is not a lot to learn from the nursing home, I love going to work and know what I would be doing. Sometimes I say to myself, I want to work in the hospital so I can challenge myself and learn different things every day, but I am not good with a fast-paced environment

great plan, Grace. I want to spend time with my family traveling for a little bit. After all this stress of schoolwork for a whole year, I would take off sometime before going back to school. I will for sure go back after at least a year of break. for me i will stay working in nursing home or assisted living because i love the elderly, but your idea of working in ER is awesome like you said you get to see different story every day and it is a great place to learn new things every day, I would love to do it but am not good with fast past environment.

I didn’t know writing could have lots of rules to follow. Maybe because I never write so many essays. I have come to know so much about writing. Now that I know a little about plagiarism, I try to be very careful about how I write my paper. Plagiarism is so serious to the point where you cannot even reuse your own previous work without giving yourself credit, meaning cite your own work. I find this to be a little silly, I mean, it’s your work, it shouldn’t matter if you reuse it

Thanks for the tip, Kristin. Even though there might be people who intentionally plagiarize, I think the majority of us do it unintentionally. It might be due to a lack of plagiarism knowledge or forgetting to do it. I have heard that there is a thing called self-plagiarism, which is reusing your own work without proper citation. I would love to know how someone can use citations on their own previous work.

I agree, Grace. I think the most common mistake people make is forgetting the little things. It’s not that we don’t know how to write in APA format; it’s just that there are lots to remember and a lot of rules to follow. If I have an assignment that requires APA format, it usually takes a lot of my time to read and re-read to see if I can catch any mistakes. However, every time I send it in for a grade, there’s always something that I forgot to do. For the reference page, the Mybib website helps me so much; maybe you should try it if you haven’t already tried

True, writing in APA format is very stressful because there are a lot of small details that can make a huge difference in your grade if missed. I learned it the hard way, but sometimes I still forget something. Other small details that are often forgotten are the page number, misuse of spacing, or margins. Use bold when not needed or forget bold when required. The title page is another one people tend to forget

Yes, Kristin, we have to take one day at a time because there are lots of assignments each week. I am glad you have a great support system. Without support, I wouldn’t even be here or have started the program. My mother is helping me so much with my newborn. Going to school with small kids is not easy, girl!, But we go this, we have already taken a first step, let’s run this race to the finish line

I can relate to your story, Cindy. I have been wanting to go back to school for a long time, but every time I tried, it never seemed like the right time. So, I decided to apply to start this year. When I got approved, I found out I was pregnant again, but I said to myself, baby or no baby, I must continue with this process. The five weeks of school were very tough, with a new baby who woke up every two hours in the middle of the night, the morning rush, and the school drop off. Here I am. I continue to thank God for the strength He’s giving me.

Yes, Kristin, I used to trust most websites, but now I know to stay away from Wikipedia and any material from a site ending with .com. People will take the time to organize materials online just to deceive others. so, the key here is to be very careful of what we are researching and to stay away from those sites

True grace, most sites out there are deceiving. You might think that the site is accurate, but you’ll find out that it is not. it not easy to spot a fake site. I now know that any site that ends with .com is not safe, so I stick with the ones that end with .edu or .gov

quantitative research is a way to go for me, because it is easy and quick to understand for people like me who are visual learners. Words are not my thing; I can get lost trying to translate to myself what I am reading.

yes, Bee both methods of research are great, depending on the situation. I am more visual, so I might like the quantitative method because I will be able to see what is being presented rather than being explained via words

Yes, Cindi there are lots of destructions everywhere and will always be. but for people like me who are easily destructed, the internet is not for especially for doing schoolwork or just to work from the computer. unless there are not pop-ups, it will be very hard for me to work from the computer. I will find myself not doing what I was supposed to do on the computer.
