what kept people alive was the nurses and staff hand venting people and running up and down the stairs providing nonstop care no matter how tired they were they put their patients first. the white man showed up to rob them, pets were brought to the hospital to be with their families as they also needed comfort, care and food provided by someone as they can’t do it themselves. Mark entered the hospital from my perspective to easily get his mom, he didn’t expect the chaos and exhaustion he was to be greeted with therefore he was taken back even though it was definitely an over reaction as he has no idea what any of those people had been and continued to go through. people were triaged correctly based on their level of care, some may or may not agree as we all have different perspectives on who may be more critical than others but in a time of confusion and tragedy hard decisions had to be made
