1)they turned people away because they had no room, air, or food. race as being not an issue, everybody gets the care they can offer.
2) the decision to euthanize the pets was good because the pets needed to be somewhere safe, where they could have food and someone to take care of them.
3)Lagasse was both a mother and dying of cancer, it is not easy to see someone dying and not try to save her.
4) communication was a devastating problem, the phone was out, and most communication was done by email.
