Many of our applicants and current students qualify for financial assistance through state and government programs, grants, charities, or their employers. If you have questions about any of the financial assistance office, feel free to contact our Admissions Office.

Scholarship through the NH Charitable Foundation
(Medallion Fund)
The NHCF offers multiple scholarships to NH residents looking to further their education. Full or partial scholarships can be awarded depending on eligibility. Apply for Scholarship, then Certificate, License, or another industry-recognized credential.
MY TURN, Inc.
This free program helps young adults between the ages of 16 and 24 decide on a career path. MY TURN, Inc., provides financial, material, and academic support necessary to earn a credential in the chosen career path, and helps with job placement in that field afterwards.
Granite State Partners
Elliot Hospital Awarded Grant to Support Future Nurses
Federal grants ($1,200 for LNA) are available for new students in Nursing. NH residents 17 or over starting a new enrollment who have financial need and meet some of the following criteria are eligible to apply.
- Disability
- Veteran
- Of a diverse, ethnic, underrepresented, or undeserved population/community
- Low income/receives assistance
- First-generation college student
- Unemployed

Senior Helpers of Southern NH Scholarship Program
An “Earn and Learn” scholarship for qualifying applicants! Senior Helpers will hire you, pay for your LNA class, and provide you with employment before and after you graduate. These scholarships are for LNAs ONLY. You must become an employee and live in Hillsborough, Merrimack, Rockingham, or Strafford counties in NH to qualify. You must have a reliable insured vehicle, be at least 20 years of age, and be available to work 32 hours per week on average.

WorkNowNH
WorkNowNH is a free state program through the New Hampshire Department of Employment Security available to individuals enrolled in Medicaid or Expanded Medicaid. This program provides support and assistance to qualified individuals to become job-ready and connect with hiring employers to enter sustainable employment.
NHES will determine program eligibility and provide assessment and case management services. WorkNowNH can provide the following employment supports for eligible participants.
Up to:
- $6,500 in tuition payments
- $1,500 in books, fees, and supplies
- $160 a month for travel reimbursement up to 6 months
- $100 for childcare registration fees
NH JAG (Jobs for America’s Grads)
This program is designed to assist low-income young adults ages 16-24 secure employment by providing training opportunities, such as our LNA program. To find out if you qualify for tuition assistance through NH JAG, call 603-647-2300.
NH Vocational Rehabilitation
If you have a disability that has created difficulties preparing for, securing, or keeping a job, you may be eligible for services with Voc Rehab. Your counselor will determine which work opportunities are best for you and may be able to assist you with job training, such as our LNA program.
NH Employment Program
If you are currently enrolled in the NH Employment Program, talk with your employment counselor to see if you are eligible for tuition assistance for the LNA program. DHHS offers online services through NH EASY Gateway to Services, New Hampshire’s electronic application system. Learn how to apply for assistance, check eligibility, track your application status, and more by visiting the NH EASY Gateway to Services website.
Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA)/NH Works
This employment and training program funded by the U.S. Department of Labor helps dislocated workers and other eligible adults access the tools they need to manage their careers through information and quality services. WIOA Employment Counselors provide various services, including occupation skills (such as our LNA program). You may be eligible for WIOA if you have been recently laid off or terminated, are unemployed, are collecting food stamps or TANF, are employed and your income is below the self-sufficiency guideline, are a displaced homemaker, are homeless, or have a disability.
CareerOneStop
CareerOneStop is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration. Search for more than 9,500 scholarships, fellowships, grants, and other financial aid award opportunities. You can:
- View a list of scholarships, arranged in order of closest deadline
- Narrow your list by searching by keyword
- Filter results to only see certain award types, locations, levels of study, and more
Scholarship sponsors may change their deadlines and eligibility criteria without notifying CareerOneStop. Be sure to confirm the most current guidelines on the scholarship website.
Employer or Clergy Sponsorship
Many employers, especially those in the healthcare field, will sponsor their employees to take our LNA training program. If you currently work for a facility that hires LNAs, talk to your HR Director or Administrator about sponsoring your education.
Speak with the clergy or leadership at your place of worship to find out if there are opportunities for tuition assistance.
