My immediate plan is to stay where I am at an assisted living facility I have been there as an MNA now for over 7 years and I love it and I enjoy working with the people I work with. I would love to maybe take a look in to teaching down the road I would love to be an LNA instructor. I hope to eventually get some different experiences as an LPN maybe a Dr office down the line but as for now I would love to start out where I am currently employed. I am still undecided as if ill go on to get my RN.

I think it’s a great idea to stay where you feel comfortable, especially as a new LPN. There are so many fields you can explore down the road! I hope you find where you are the happiest and succeed greatly.

    Hello!
I am on the fence about getting my RN. I am exposed to working a lot more RNs working at the hospital where most units require you to have a RN and at least one year of experience. I have had the opportunity to talk to them about the RN program and they told me that as long as my fundamentals credit carry over. it should be one more year and a lot of writing. I work on a critical care floor now and they require nurses to be RNs, but I know the medical and surgical floors hire LPNs with experience. My manager will work with me when I get my LPN to keep me on the floor. I always wanted to be a Director of an Assisted Nursing facility and you can do that as a LPN. There will be endless possibilities for us!

Hello Michele I think it’s a good idea to stay where u at and work, I think it easier because you already know the people there and is already familiar. I’m thinking to do that same too just work where I’m at.
