I believe simply having a better disaster planning for hospital staff would have solved a lot of problems. There was to many people making their own decisions because there wasn’t a clear outline for them to follow. They should have had an exact evacuation route in place as well as how they would triage and evacuate patients.

If I could fund one thing before another hurricane it would be to fix the pump issue. It seems they talked about it many times before but never did anything about it. If there wasn’t severe flooding then many of the issues wouldn’t have existed.
