Personally the one big thing I would fund would be significant equipment improvements. I don’t just think the hospital needs changes inside it but the foundation of the whole hospital. It was not built equipped to handle this type of disaster. As well as the city itself needs to upgrade the drainage and everything to a proper size and system that can handle the types of disasters they deal with. The hospital staff and board may have made some unsuccessful decision while handling everything but I dont feel like that is all to blame. I don’t think they would have struggles as much as they did if they were in a safe zone to give the care they needed to give. Health care workers work in undesirable situations all the time and make it work. This unfortunatly wasn’t just an undesirable situation it was an impossible situation.
