1. they met to talk over there current situation, especially pertaining to euthanasia for patients that had no chance of surviving.

2. she was against euthanasia as she was very strong in her beliefs about protecting human life at all cost, susan is more divided and really weighs the implications, dr pou is for it under the most dire cirmstances

3. I think to them it made since to save as many resources for humans as possible, while also limit the suffering of the pets. i think starting with pets could have potentially made easier for them to euthanize patients next. eventually they were able to evacuate the pets, so it does seem like a mistake at that point, however in the midst of it they thought they were doing the right thing.
