The five common writing styles are creative, expository, descriptive, narrative and persuasive. Creative can be when the writer creates a story using their imagination, expository is when the writer is giving the facts of the story, descriptive is when the writer is giving the information to describe the story with details, narrative is when the writer tells the story, and finally persuasive is when the writer is writing to convince the reader of their own opinions or beliefs. I personally like to use expository and creative writing styles based on my own personal experiences!

I like expository writing too especially when it teaches me new facts about a topic I am interested in! It happens a lot when I read newspapers and magazines as it brings a wealth of facts to store in my brain or in my journal. I love learning new things through what I read! Great thoughts!

    Hi Stephanie Goddu,
Good job on the response given on the types of writing,
I also like expository and creative writing styles because When writing reports on business subjects like finance or research, expository writing can help because its main objective is to inform or educate the reader using facts, statistical data, and information.

Hi Stephanie, I also enjoy expository writing because I am able to write about my own experiences.
