    To ensure patient safety they are the Six Rights of Medication Administration. The six rights are right drug, dose, route, patient, time and documentation. This is for the patients safety but also for the nurses who are giving the medication. Tall man lettering is used to distinguish medications that have similar names. All these things help with patient safety and safe medication administration.
