1. Sherri fink Definity did her due diligence going through 500 interviews to ensure she got the most accurate information for this book. I think her biggest dilemma was what stance she took on how things were handled during the wake of the hurricane, regardless of any potential biases she may have had. 2. its very tough to say what they should have done from an outside perspective; I personally think to medicate them and control the deaths is defiantly better then to let them completely suffer. the decision obviously wasn’t an easy one for Dr pou but I truly think she did what she thought was the right thing to do. 3.some of the medical staff were given exceptions to stay, they evacuated the patients they considered to have the best chance to live. i think they were extremally unprepared for this type of situation.
