1.Forty five bodies from the chapel , morgues,hallways,Life care floor and the emergency room.It was the largest number of bodies found at any katrina struck hospital or nursing home .
2.Tenet have to show to demonstrate no wrong doing with regard to patient deaths by answering the phoned in questions defensively by requesting them in writing.He faxed a corporate summary of events , copies of newspaper articles highlighting the heroism of the employees of memorial .Tenet also showed they were able to evacuate every living patient from the hospital often using private helicopters .
3.The families were informed about the death of their loved ones by tenet through telephone or patient relatives reached the hospital directly .
The patients evacuated by Tenet buses and helicopters were given rooms for accommodation and they received meals and showers there and could take advantage of the arrangement and find assistance with their loved ones .
4.The investigators learn from the family members of the deceased that they lost the loved ones under suspicious circumstances.
From the autopsy, they came to know a patient was euthanized.
Midazolam and Morphine was so important to this case because the concentrations of these drugs that were found in specimens were on the higher side .
5.Schafer related her daughters death to that of Nelson’s mother. He was ready to lose everything he had or will ever have to get 5 more minutes of his daughter. All these emotions of losing the loved one hit him while he was hearing Nelson’s story. But keeping emotions aside he was trying to find evidence of drugs in the corpses which was suspected to be lethal.
