When I finish the program, if accredited I want to go for my RN, if not I will work as an LPN and hope one day they will be. I am in long term care right now and I love it but part of me also wants to branch off and go the opposite route basically and go into labor/delivery/maternity in some aspect.

Maternity is such a desirable specialty! I wonder if you will get an easier chance of getting your foot in the door if you work in a hospital as an LNA in Maternity and try to branch over! What I’ve seen so far in hospitals is that they are opening up some space for LPN’s in Med surge! I hope later on they allow LPN’s to go in other places outside of that! If not then yes indeed I’m waiting on the day as well for LNA Health Careers to be accredited too. Good luck!
