1. They waived their Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. the charges against them ( nurse Cheri Landry and Lori Budo ) were
dropped once they testified, while Karen Wynn believed that giving midazolam and morphine to those dying and critical patients comfort, peace
, and dignity under the circumstances of that event. Their ( Landry’s and Budo’s ) testimony is based on their side of what they see and hear.
Karen Wynn’s testimony was conspicuously absent from the grand jury proceedings; she had never contacted.

2. As I Know it here in The United States, a family of the patients can sue HCP and a facility if they lost their loved one, regardless of the
circumstances. Therefore hospitals, health facilities, and HCP fear being sued.
It might be the culture in the United States; we don’t talk about death, so we are unprepared to face it.
The attitude about death outside The United States is: in China, many Chinese people believe that the souls of the dead stay and protect
their descendants. In Japan, as they believe in Shinto and Buddhism, death is understood as an inevitable experience and the belief in
the afterlife after someone has passed away.

3, In my opinion, Justice is served on grand jury decisions on DR. Anna Maria Pou’s case since she believes in giving patients comfort and
offers them peace and dignity in dying under that horrible circumstances.
