Patient Care Bundle Program (PCB)

 

The Patient Care Bundle brings together a comprehensive education in entry level healthcare professions. Through this intensive six-week curriculum filled with professional and practical hands-on clinical experiences, you will be prepared for work as a skilled allied healthcare provider in a variety of settings such as: emergency room, skilled nursing facility or laboratory. Stack your courses and earn four industry recognized credentials at once! 

  • NH BON Licensed Nursing Assistant
  • NHA Certified Phlebotomy Technician
  • NHA Certified EKG Technician
  • AHA BLS Certification

This course is 240 hours in length and students should expect to spend an additional 5-10 hours per week doing reading and homework assignments outside of classes. 

Patient Care Technician training brings together a comprehensive education in entry-level healthcare professions. Through this bundled program, you will follow a curriculum filled with professional and practical hands-on clinical experiences. During this time, you will be trained for work as a skilled allied healthcare provider. You will have the credentials, once completed, to work in a variety of settings such as emergency rooms, skilled nursing facilities, or clinical laboratories. Stack your courses and earn four industry-recognized credentials in under 3 months!

This course schedule is highly adaptable and allows students to plan each of their courses to best suit their work and home life. We know that your family and outside life are just as important as your schooling; and as such, we’ve developed our Patient Care Technician program so that you are able to have a great education/life balance.

Students in the PCB Program are invited to participate in a Phlebotomy Externship. The externship is optional and not a requirement to completing the program. The externship is 120 hours in length and at a participating clinical in New Hampshire. 

The cost of the externship is $200. 

The requirements of participating in an externship are: 

  • Submit documentation of Hep B vaccine series or declination.
  • Submit proof of immunity to measles, mumps and rubella, varicella, tetanus (within 10 years)
  • Submit documentation of full COVID-19 vaccination series.
  • Submit documentation of a two-step negative TB test within the past year or negative chest x-ray dated within the last 5 years, or a QuantiFERON lab test within the past year.
  • Be at least 16 years of age.
  • Have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Has an active Health Insurance plan and card.
  • Possesses proficiency in English and basic math as determined by the pre-entrance examination. Must successfully pass the pre-entrance examination with a score of 80% or greater.
  • Submit documentation of a safe to work exam by medical provider.
  • Submit documentation of full COVID-19 vaccination series. 
  • Submit documentation of a 2-step TB test (what is a 2-step TB test?)

Patient Care Bundle Course Fees

   Seat Deposit Fee: $450 (due at sign up, non-refundable)
   Supplies Fee: $600
   Criminal Record Check: $25
   Liability Insurance: $25
   Tuition: $4,400
   TOTAL: $5,500

Upon successfully graduating from the Patient Care Bundle Program, students will receive fours certificates of completion: one for Nursing Assistant, one for Phlebotomy, and one for EKG. Additionally, students will receive an American Heart Association BLS certification card. 

Students will be eligible to sit for the Phlebotomy and EKG National certification exams from the National Healthcareer Association as well as the NH Board of Nursing LNA licensing exam. These exams are included in the cost of the program.
